March has been an exciting month so far! We had a surprise visitor this week: Lt. Joe from DeKalb PD. He taught us about safety and swore us in as Seat Belt Officers to ensure our family members wear seat belts. He gave each student a badge, crayons, a ruler, and a coloring book.
As the end of quarter 3 approaches, I have been completing literacy assessments. Your students are making tremendous progress in all areas, especially reading! Report Cards will be sent home March 22, so be on the lookout. Reminders: *Breakfast is available to car riders until 7:35am daily. Please be on time to ensure that your child will receive a meal. There is no time limit for morning bus riders, so why not consider riding the bus? *Please send 24 snacks to school each month to refill our snack basket. *Donations of baby wipes would be greatly appreciated!! *Don't forget the upcoming Art Show and Talent Show later this month. *Signed permission slips are past due for our field trip next Friday. Any student without one, must sit in another classroom instead of attending the field trip., so PLEASE return them ASAP. *Peace, Love, First Grade!
