*Thank you to the students who dressed as 100 year olds on Wednesday for the 100th Day of School. Teasley Manor was the place to be! The "residents" enjoyed a fashion show; chair volleyball; an edible 100 snack; counting my collections of 100; and many other fun activities.
*Congratulations to James! He will represent us at the upcoming "Authors' Breakfast" to share his informational book, All About Baseball. *Our social studies suitcase looked quite different last week. It was a large stick with a bandanna tied around the end. Inside we discovered a quilt, wooden shoes, a simple plate, and a cup. Harriet Tubman wouldn't have been able to afford a suitcase, as she escaped slavery and became a conductor on the "Underground railroad." We continue to learn about this brave American hero. *Hopefully, you enjoyed a little blast of winter on Friday afternoon. Safe travels back to school tomorrow! *Peace, Love, First Grade!
